Oho... Das ist ziemlich starker Tobak; Ich überleg grad, ob ich unvorsichtigerweise mein passwort noch bei anderen -wichtigen- Seiten habe.

Gepaart mit meinem momentanen Ärger über das Internat, geht mir ht langsam wirklich auf die Eier!

 

Bin diese Woche aus einer Liga ausgestiegen, weil ich einer anderen Liga (Freunde) beitreten will. Dabei hab ich mich leider geirrt, da mir beim Spielplan dieser Liga, mein eigener angezeigt wurde. Das hab ich aber nicht erkannt, weil ich nur auf das Datum des letzten Spiels geschaut hab... na gut, denk ich mir; Wart ich halt die 2 Wochen, spiel mein friendly und verzicht halt auf ein Spiel. Irrtum; Sämtliche ausgesprochenen Forderungen waren weg, weil man um ein friendly zu spielen, in einer Liga sein muss.

 

Daher beschließ ich, auf den Affenzirkus zu schei**** und will irgendeiner Liga beitreten, am besten eine mit 16 Teams, damit ich mich so bald nicht mehr drum kümmern muss. Wieder Irrtum: Ich werd zwar aufgefordert, eine Liga zu gründen, oder einer beizutreten, kann aber nicht. Denn in keiner Liga mit freien Plätzen kann ich beitreten, weil dort nicht "open slot" angezeigt wird.

 

Das mit dem Internat war "Verändern um jeden Preis". Von ausgereift ist das ja meilenweit entfernt...

 

Der button "Internat schließen" lächelt mich immer mehr an!

Die gespeicherten IPs machen mich schon nervös, aber dass die Herrschaften derart lax mit den Userdaten umgehen.

Gabs da nicht auch unlängst einen Fall, dass mehrere User durch einen Bug in den Logos (!) gehackt wurden? Also irgendwie wird mir gerade ein wenig unwohl...

Die HT nehmen den Artikel offenbar ernst (warum auch immer). So schnelle Reaktionen sind doch ungewöhnlich.

Since yesterday, there has been much concern in the Forums regarding the user data protection in Hattrick. This was triggered by an article in a German online magazine. The concerns have been that GMs have had access to the user passwords for cheat hunting purposes, especially since our GMs have not had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. There have also been concerns about the fact that Hattrick had not registered its user database with the data protection authorities. In addition, the article points to the fact that users have not explicitly had to accept the Hattrick user agreement in the registration process.

 

We were not aware that the rules for registering data bases had changed since set up Hattrick Ltd in 2003. We regret this and have today registered our data base with the Regulatory Authority.

 

We have also today changed our policy regarding passwords. These have before been visible to Game Masters to allow them to catch cheaters who have registered two teams with the same or similar passwords. While there have been no reports that any GM has misused this information, we have now decided that the passwords will be encrypted and they will therefore no longer be visible to the GMs. We feel that our other cheat hunting tools are sufficient to effectively police the one-team rule.

 

We will also make it mandatory to explicitly accept the Hattrick User Agreement upon signing up. Our GMs will also have to sign a Non-disclosure agreement.

 

These changes make us fully compliant with the EU data protection rules. Our policy not to share any user information with outside third parties (including advertisers), except for aggregated data, remains unchanged.

 

We deeply regret that we have not been fully compliant before and would like to apologize both to our users and to our volunteers for not taking these measures earlier.
